Nancy E. Fraser

Nancy E. Fraser is founder and CEO of Med Legal Consulting Source. As a Registered Nurse for more than 25 years, she has assisted in more than 10,000 surgeries and has distinguished herself as a business owner and administrator. 

In 1987 Nancy co-founded a multi-specialty surgery center in Santa Monica, where she served as Director of Surgical Services. She oversaw business operations, managed a medical staff of 350, and coordinated the center’s three operating rooms. In addition, she developed innovative training programs to increase hospital nursing efficiency and introduced cutting-edge surgical technologies to doctors.

Nancy then founded the Breast Institute, a multi-specialty medical facility for women with problematic breast implants. Speaking to national audiences, she became a resource for insurance companies and attorneys involved in medical litigation, which inspired her next career move.

Nancy founded Med Legal Consulting Source in 1999 to provide customized medical record review services to insurance companies and attorneys for plaintiff and defense. Her ability to explain complex issues in simple terms is fundamental to the firm’s success. Med Legal’s team of legally trained nurses facilitates case preparation, providing expert analysis and comprehensive document review to clients nationwide.

Nancy frequently speaks to trial lawyer associations and insurance groups. She also continues to be active in the surgical field. She recently returned from El Salvador, where she assisted in the operating room performing corrective foot surgery for crippled children.

Nancy received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a certificate from the University of Southern California in Management Development Program in Healthcare. 

Nancy Fraser, CEO of Med Legal Consulting Source, has recently been offered and accepted membership with the Women Presidents' Organization. The WPO is a non-profit membership organization for women presidents of multimillion-dollar companies. Members are committed to taking part in peer advisory groups in order to coax "the genius out of the group" and grow their businesses to the next level. This elite organization boasts over 82 active chapters and over 1500 members across the U.S. and Canada. Fraser is a member of the Los Angeles I chapter.

Sarah McCann

Sarah is Chief Operating Officer of Med Legal Consulting Source. Her full docket includes managing casework, maintaining quality standards, and assuring confidentiality and security compliance with HIPPA. A multi-talented business professional, she also oversees the Med Legal staff, as well as all experts, licensed nurse consultants, project managers and editors.

Since joining Med Legal in 2005, Sarah has been deeply involved in strategic planning, implementing technological and intellectual platforms, generating and executing policy and procedures, streamlining processes, and handling a myriad of evolving challenges. Organized, insightful and entrepreneurial, Sarah is instrumental to Med Legal's fast-tracked success.

Sarah understands both sides of the legal world. Her father is a well-known civil defense litigator in Los Angeles, and her husband is an up-and-coming civil litigation attorney for the plaintiff. Sarah is a graduate of Villanova University, where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in management.
